Your Real Life- It’s not what you think

Your real life is the one running just below the surface of the one you think you are living.

 I know that on first blush this idea may sound preposterous. And I must admit that it took me a long time to come to this conclusion.

 But there is a way that you can discover the truth of it for yourself. Become very aware of your thoughts and how much energy and emotion you invest in the different aspects of your life.

Step 1.  Daily-  In order to be conscious of what you have actually been thinking, keep a ‘thought journal.’  Write it down; the good, the bad and the ugly.  You’re the only one that will ever see it, so be very truthful with yourself.

 Step 2.  Daily- Write down the day’s experiences in the journal as well. Be sure to note any specific correlations between the 2 things if they occur. Do this for 1 month.

  And then watch what happens around you.

Step 3.  At the end of the month, compare your thoughts with your outcomes over that period of time.

 You will begin to see that, sure enough, your life is a reflection of those thoughts. You, by the thoughts you entertain, have a complete ability to change the course of your life forever.

 If you don’t like what you are getting, you must change what you are thinking. It’s Natural Law, as real as gravity.

    I love the idea of doing for a month to really see the patterns and impact of our thoughts! Thanks for another wonderful post!

      Deb, you really must try it. It works! And then you also can see that by changing your thoughts, you get different results. It’s fascinating.

    Yes! As someone who lives almost entirely inside her head, this exercise would likely be particularly useful :).
