It Really IS A Wonderful Life, So SHINE!!

Do you remember that classic movie, ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’? You know… it’s the one where the owner of the Bedford Falls Building and Loan thought he was a failure. He didn’t see that he made much difference in the world, and at some point he finds out how much he mattered to the people in his town.

A lot of times we go about our everyday lives; getting the kids off to school, going to work, church, other functions, repairing things around the house… all the little things that make up our days. We know we make a difference to our families but we really do not comprehend the full impact we have on the lives of others.

In truth, there is no small kindness that completely goes unnoticed. Your smile to a convenience store clerk, or a sincere compliment to a person having a hard time, may have made their day. A dear friend once told me that a woman selling door to door when she was a child in an abusive home uttered the sentence that saved her life.

One sentence!

She knew the lady could not help her situation, but that sentence gave her hope for the future. I’m sure that lady has no idea that she saved a life. It was just like that for George in the movie.

He didn’t realize it in his day-to-day life, but when a time of crisis came, he was amazed at the people who came out of the woodwork to help him.

The world is full of wonderfully loving people, all children of God, who shine a little light into the lives of others every single day.

You are that light.

Even without evidence that you make a difference, shine!

Everywhere you go, with every person you meet, Shine!

Just by being You, you affect everyone whose life you touch.

One day,

when you Expect it least….

And need it most,

you will be blown away by the love flowing back to you from everywhere.

It truly is A Wonderful Life!
